GDC Vijaypur Celebrates National Voters Day 2024.

NSS Unit of Government Degree College Vijaypur today celebrated National Voters’ Day 2024 by holding a pledge taking ceremony and cultural activities. Principal of the college, Dr. (Prof.) Vandana Gupta along with teaching and non-teaching staff and the students of the college participated in the celebration of the Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. While speaking on the occasion Prof. Anita Jamwal, Head, Department of Political Science administered the National Voters’ Day pledge both in English and Hindi to create awareness among the participants about the importance of registration of votes and ensure their active participation in election for stronger democracy in the county. She further said that 25th of january is celebrated as the National Voters’ Day to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India in 1950. The objective is to increase the enrolment of voters to make the universal adult suffrage a reality. Whole of the event was organized under the able guidance of the Principal of the college. The event was coordinated by Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Convenor IQAC and co-coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan, Convenor Cultural Committee and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, NSS PO.
